Barrister Nwala Chetam Thierry have recounted on the consequences of the State of Emergency declared by President Bola Tinubu during the political disagreement between the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State 

He stated that "After Ibas was appointed as Sole Administrator, one of the first things he did was to suspend all ongoing projects in Rivers State. This means, road constructions were stopped, developmental projects were also stopped. After the State of Emergency, SERAP reported that Ibas spent 302 Billion within the six months he held sway."

"Ibas did not mould one block but he spent N302 Billion. This goes to show that President Tinubu beyond taking control of Rivers State was deliberate about destroying our economy and slowing our growth. Every developmental idea was halted while they milked the State dry. Yet, our brothers celebrated it." He stated

"As a Rivers man, when you travel to other states especially Abuja and Lagos, there is this respect you get from the people there, since Tinubu ran us street with the State of Emergency, we lost that respect. They see us now as noisy people who cannot bite." He stated

"Many countries have given travel advisory to their citizens about the insecurity in Nigeria. Some even advise them not to travel to Nigeria." He revealed 

According to Barr. Nwala Chetam Thierry, "When President Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared a State of Emergency in our State, it simply meant that, if the entire Nigeria was not safe, Rivers State was more dangerous."

"Which investor wants to invest in a State even the Federal Government of the country don't trust it's safety? President Tinubu did us dirties. Which investor would invest in a State that has the level of political instability like ours? This is why the biggest industry here is politics." He stated 

He further accused some persons in Rivers State of helping President Tinubu for it

"Our brothers helped Tinubu to destroy our State, yet, the same people wants us to trust them with the management of our State. Others May, As For Me, I CANNOT.

"President Tinubu committed an unforgivable sin against Rivers people. Don't forget to vote against anything and everything linked to Tinubu, Wike and Sim." He stated
